The happiest baby on the block
I'm a terrible mother. Everyone knows that you have to buy your child blocks to play with so he can learn how to build things and stack things, and so you can learn how to deal with your insecurities when other moms tell you that their baby can stack 37 blocks, while yours only stacks two and throws the rest at the dog.

We never bought him wooden blocks because we feel sorry enough for the dog as it is, and figured that giving the kid wooden projectiles would give PETA the final excuse they were looking for to burn our house down.

So today we went to the children's museum, and he was all Holy crap, mom! These things are amazing! Why have I not had access to something like this my whole life?

My child, my serious little freak of a child, loved blocks so much that when he was finished building a tower taller than himself, he did something he's never done before: he stepped back... and smiled for a picture.

Scroll down to see for yourself. I still can't believe it.
