What the HELL?

I just found this quote from the makers of Pull-up training pants:
“With all its stops, starts, joys and frustrations, potty training takes patience–an average of eight months from start to finish.”

8 months????!! That’s almost as long as it took me to make him in the first place.

To be clear: he didn’t get sick because I let him play in the rain.

Nicolaus is still sick and he seems to need my full attention; any time I start to scan my film he suddenly spills something, or wets his pants, or hurts himself, or wakes up crying because a book tried to eat him.

Hopefully I will be back to posting new photos tomorrow or the next day. In the meantime please enjoy this nice picture of my wonderful child playing in the rain, suitable for framing and/or sending to CPS to show them what a bad mother I am.

Toddler Mecca

Sometimes the day is just blah and the weather sucks and the kid is whining and we need to GET OUT. So where do you go when the day is blah and you need to let your child unleash some of his pent-up energy on the general public? You go to Hobby Lobby.

Today we came home with:
* foam shapes
* a silk flower
* a 50 cent package of pipe cleaners

Last time we went, we got:
* beaded marti gras necklaces
* a little red tote bag for him to carry his snacks in
* the tiniest straw cowboy hat you’ve ever seen in your life

This kid gets more mileage out of a $3 purchase than anyone on the planet.

I have GOT to catch up on sleep before I do anymore web surfing.

What the headline said:Study finds that national math test is too easy.

Wow

I love it when people have their act together! The museum totally swears on their mama’s grave that nothing bad will happen. I will have that in writing no later than Monday the 29th, a full week before I need it (leaving time for people to screw around, make a mistake, and start all over). So that means that Kevin is going to be featured in an upcoming exhibit! Who knew that fame was just a few phone calls and emails away? Now if only a little fortune would follow, we’d be set.
