Yeah, so the week is bumping along. A little better, but only because we are forcing it to improve. I did manage to get my hair the exact right shade of purple, bringing joy and celebration to no one except me. I’ve been trying to get this color for almost a year, and now that it’s done it’s only going to last a couple of weeks but hey! It’s been a rough week. I’m clinging to the triumph. Woooooooooo go me!
Shit. Graham just dumped an entire bag of pretzels out for the dog all over the dining room floor. Mouse adores this baby with all of his quivering, pointy little heart.
Which! Pretzels! Perfect! Because in place of an actual post with actual syntax and cohesive parts of speech and all, here is a little comic I sketched out months ago. One day I’ll make a category for these or something.
The proper way to introduce solids to your baby

Looks like the flowchart is much simpler for child number two. :)
ummm, by the time my third baby came around, I employed the 5 second rule almost all the time…is that wrong? Because seriously? how many germs could possibly cover something in 5 seconds time?
HAHAHAHA! That’s a great one! And absolutely correct too! How do subsequent children ever survive? The first one gets covered in bubble wrap and then laminated. By #3 I find myself wondering if the other kids can get him dressed and ready in the morning for me…
I love your comics. I firmly believe you should combine them all (and more!) into a comic book for moms. I’d totally buy it.
I can totally relate! I took my kids to McD’s today and let my youngest (who’s 11 months) eat a chicken nugget. This one new mom gave me that “Oh my god, I should call CPS” look. She should just wait till she has her second ;)
My 11 month old devoured an entire huge hot dog at Costco today. She’s way healthier than the first one, who still can’t keep 3T pants from falling off his skinny 3 1/2 year old butt.
Ha ha ha ha!!
that was hilarious. Hilarious. You should sell that to a parenting mag.
I’m rolling. G has already had biscuits and tomato sauce. No way would I have given E that at 7mnoths!
Excellent. What a cure for my horrible guilt at having a first born 4month old who eats like a champ! Thank you.
