Nicolaus loves nature. He loves trees. Sometimes he actually stops to hug them, causing people to stare and causing quick walks around the block to take forever. But how can you not let him HUG a tree? We usually let him.
Whenever it’s convenient he pauses and talks to plants and breathes on their leaves. He thanks them if they brush against him because they were nice enough to cool off that part of his skin.
So his latest thing is ordering Sprite in restaurants. Because Sprite contains bubbles of carbon dioxide. Which plants need. So he drinks the Sprite, then we leave. And on the way to the car, he lovingly searches for young plants who need carbon dioxide to live and grow. And burps on them.
Your child is really, really awesome. I absolutely love it.

Please caution him against farting since the release of methane into the atmosphere causes a dramatic increase in greenhouse effect. Methane is a much worse greenhouse gas than is CO2 and doesnt help plants at all. So, save a step and dump the sprite on a tree. And no farting.
