Hangover

I didn’t drink, though I should have, but still. I feel hung over from this week. I’ve been frantically working on 25 commissioned illustrations as my laptop breathes its last gasps. If I get the work done, I can get paid enough to pay for the laptop repairs.

Now I’m going to shower. Nothing was mentioned of personal hygiene in that last post. It was very polite of you not to say anything.

Are you going to sell some of these on your site - or are they special for someone else?

I’m so sorry for your bad week. Hopefully this next week will make up for it!

Oh, cool. I know I love them, I imagine he will love them as well. Hope so!!!! I know that frantic push on a project. Draining! And with a wonky computer, too. Double draining. Oh yea, and you have kids. I basically would be dead unless kids can be crate trained like dogs.

You seems to at least still seem to be alive and still creative. You win. Ha!

Gretchen, he is just the coolest! This has been the funnest part of my week by far. Thank you SO much for sending him my way.

I need to look into crate training for the holiday season. They won’t even play in their room for any length of time though, so I don’t know if it’ll work…

Toni - they’re a commission. I still own the rights, so I could sell them down the line but for now they’re all his.

A prayer for your laptop and OMG what a fricking week it has been!

Hope Graham is still dry and Nicolaus is not still filled with regret. That kid just slays me.

Hi there! I have been lurking for a long time but I don’t think I have commented. I just wanted to delurk to say I love your artwork. It is all so beautiful. I love poking around your site. I especially love the plexiglass paintings and if I had a couple hundred bucks laying around I would totally buy one.

    Oh, and your boys, ADORABLE!

I love your art and your blog, so please don’t get cranky with me BUT…

shouldn’t the blood remain blue in the right heart and pulmonary trunk and then red as it returns in the pulmonary veins and left heart to aorta? I mean, unless you’re illustrating a left to right shunt, but it doesn’t look like it…

  7. electric boogaloo Says:

Doh! Awesome Jen, thank you - it’s an illustration for a poem but technical accuracy wouldn’t hurt. Luckily colors are easy to fix.

  8. Squirl Says:

You painted a squirrel! I love it!

Typing this from a hotel in a city by Boston. Red Roof Inn charges for wireless, but I don’t care. There are things I try to keep up on, and your site is one of them.

I hope you can get enough money for a computer soon. What would we of the voyeuristic tendencies do if we can’t keep up with your wonderful family?

  9. Urban Mom Says:

Just wanted to say how lovely your art is! Hope that this week is a better one for you…..

  10. Roberta Says:

Love your blog. Love it, love it, it’s my all-time favorite!

But I have to ask: wth is the third picture? Is it… is it…

    Nah. Couldn’t be.

  11. electric boogaloo Says:

Woah! Hahaha, no. It’s about bone cancer… with the marrow and the bubbles and the teeny watercolor hearts and… yeah. No!
