Your son and my (5 1/2 year old) daughter should start a marketing firm together. To wit: she introduces me as the "kitchen witch," in a very casual and matter-of-fact way to perfect strangers, as though not only should they totally know what that means, but if they don't, there is no reason at all to find it odd that my daughter just called me a witch.

Clearly, I didn't think that part through when coming up with the name for my business.

Congrats on the article and the new kitty. I don't think I remembered to tell you that the nerdy parents (one a new Ph.D herself) LOVED the Nerdy Alphabet and (kiss, kiss you wonderful woman) the Nerdy Numbers. They are now being put into service as decor in baby Fangette Green's nursery.

I also agree with Dadio that Nicolaus and Graham should be running the country. Imagine how inventive, (mostly) peaceful and creative we would be!

A wonderful book "Your Inner Fish" , by Neil Shubin seems to indicate to the contrary, ie. we may well be a codfish indeed.

I think I was the only kid to point out that everybody could see up M.P.s dress when she flew holding on to her umbrella.

No to codfish oil but enforce the "brush your teeth if you want to have teeth" rule after having all the donuts.

Kids should be running most of corporate America, not just helping out with a little marketing here and there. Our child labor laws were meant to protect them from the sweat shops of the early 20th century.

The little guys could totally handle the daily stresses of our modern "economy in the toilet" corporate america, would probably be far more ethical and would definately do a superior job.

And they will work for pastry!
